Our Online Shop Policies

Your satisfaction is important to us at The Well-Seasoned Nest. We realize that now, more than ever, you have choices about where, when, and how you shop. Now you can shop from home anytime day or night, or on your break at work, or anywhere you're on the computer, in fact! So, in order to keep you coming back for more, we know we need to make your online shopping experience both enjoyable and frustration-free.

Prices, Products, and Policies

Every effort is made to ensure that every detail is correct as published on our website. Our goal is to maintain adequate inventories of each item featured on the site, and keep our pricing reasonable. In the event you order an item that is not in stock, one of our customer service staff members will contact you to discuss the options available to you. While we strive for complete accuracy, we reserve the right to correct any errors in pricing or descriptions.

At The Well-Seasoned Nest we don't sell anything we wouldn't buy ourselves. In fact, we did buy each item!  And we're pretty fussy.....

It is important to note that some of our products are purposely meant to be "antiqued-looking", and that small "irregularities" are part of their nature and add to the product's appeal. We try to note this in the product descriptions when this is the case.

For environmental puposes, we often ship using recycled boxes that are strong and clean.  Every little bit helps! 

Placing Orders to be Shipped

We invite you to place orders directly through our safe and secure website, where we are currently accepting orders shipping primarily UPS Ground to US addresses. Most orders ship within 2-3 business days; please allow up to 6 additional business days for your order to arrive via UPS Ground or through the US Postal Service. If you have special shipping needs, please contact us and we will try to accomodate your shipping requests.

We process payments on our site through PayPal, a secure online payment processor. All you need to use PayPal is a MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express credit card. For added security, we do not save the credit card number in your shopping cart, so you will need it for each order.

If you prefer to place your order by phone, call us at (203) 859 . 1178 and one of our staff will be happy to assist you in placing your order. If you need to leave a message, we will return your call quickly. For phone orders, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards.

For shipments delivered to Connecticut, we are required by law to charge sales tax.

A few items we carry may require additional shipping charges due to size, weight, or other special handling considerations.

Returns

We inspect each item for the site when it arrives on our doorstep and we inspect it again before we ship it. We do our best to describe each item clearly and accurately. Each item is packed with care to make certain it finds its way to you in tip-top shape.

We want you to be happy with your order. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly accept your timely return of unused merchandise within 30 days of the delivery date. We will refund your credit card once the merchandise is received. Sorry, but shipping/handling and gift-wrap charges are not refundable.

After 30 days we will gladly issue store credit for the full value of the returned item. Please take care when packaging items for return. (For your protection, we strongly recommend sending your items by trackable means with an insured carrier, such as UPS or FedEx.)

If your item was damaged in shipment, please contact us immediately.
