Admittedly, I have a high energy. I like it that way, feeling pumped, positive, on track. Someone asked me the other day how I stay “inspired” and upbeat. Inspired is not a word I necessarily would use to describe myself but I did give the concept some thought.
What came first to mind was family and friends. Their very existence in my life is my biggest source of delight. They encourage me, motivate me, and give me reason to want to be more, and to give more to to the life I’ve been honored with.

Creative people inspire me. They give me a deep appreciation as well as a springboard for my own thoughts and ideas. Whether it’s a visit to a craft fair, museum, blog, website, show, or gallery, I never cease to be amazed at the talent that exists in our universe. Blows me away that people continually come up with new ideas or ways to better existing ideas.
I noticed a few things at home that keep the juices flowing.
This is a grater type gizmo on my kitchen countertop where I put recipes, inspirational quotes, reminders, etc. here’s a closeup of a quote I tacked on recently – says a lot….
I’ve also got a bunch of thought provoking things on a hanging in my office/studio.
My books – a definite for the list - and the numerous articles, pages, etc. I’ve clipped over the years in a box, soon (!) to be filed!
